Role Restrictions Tab

Role restrictions restrict the records a user has access to based on their Security Role. For example an organization may allow outside users in their system, but would want to restrict the data this user can access.

The Role Restrictions tab will look different depending on how Role Restrictions are based (Trackor-Based or Filter-Based) for a system.

  • For Trackor-Based role restrictions, the tab shows a list of Security Roles and the Restriction Mode for each. In addition, Administrators can define Trackor-Based restrictions on this tab applying either a Union or Intersection restriction mode.

  • For Filter-Based role restrictions, the tab shows a list of restriction filters grouped by Security Role. Both Security Roles and the Restriction Filters are hyperlinks to see more information. Restrictions cannot be defined on this tab.

For more information about applying either type of restriction filter, see Configuring Restricted Trackors.
