Applets

OneVizion Applets are a collection of Tabs designed to collect data to accomplish a business purpose. An applet is automatically created when you create a Trackor Type and has a General Info tab. Trackors can have more than one Applet to avoid having too many tabs on the main Applet and consolidate relevant Tabs to a team or department. To access this Application Page, use the Quick Search Bar from the Menu Application.

Accessing the Applets Application Page

This will open the Define Applets Application Page. Use the Trackor Browser View Options, Trackor Browser Filters, and the Quick Search to obtain the Trackor Type to add an Applet.

Adding an Applet

Every Trackor Type has at least one Applet defaulted to the same name as the Trackor Type. This Applet is created by default when a Trackor Type is created, similar to General Info Tab that gets created by default for a Trackor Type.
To create an additional Applet, click the Add Icon. This will open the Add App Applet on the General Tab.

Add App Applet

General Tab

The General Tab contains general information for the Applet.  Once the required information is filled out (denoted by an *), and the Applet is saved, the Add  App Applet will change to the Edit App Applet, and additional Tabs may appear.

Field Name

Field Description

Applet Name*

Contains the name of the Applet in the database. A good naming practice is to include the Trackor Type to which the Applet is assigned in the name. For example, if the Applet were holding comments for the "Issue" Trackor Type, name should be "Issue_Comments".

Applet Label*

Contains the label that displays on the Applet, which will be seen by regular users of the system. Click the Ellipsis Icon, to either select an existing label or create a new one.

Trackor Type*

Indicates the Trackor Type to which the Applet is assigned. Unable to edit this field, so make sure to add the Applet to the correct Trackor Type.

The Form/Tab Designer and Applet Editor now have a link to the Trackor Type Edit Form. Users must
have at least “Read” for ADMIN_RELATOR_ITEMS permission to see the new link.

App Icon

Contains the image that will be displayed as the icon for this Applet. Click the ellipsis to change the selected icon.

Components Package

Drop-down containing a list of components that can be associated with the Applet.

The Component Package must first be added using Administer Component Packages.

Applet Designer

Users have the ability to add/create, assign, unassign Tabs in the Applet Designer. The Applet Designer is displayed in 2 columns. Trackor Types/Tabs are displayed in the left column. Selected Tabs are displayed in the right column.

Users may add Tabs from the current Trackor Type as well as any parent Trackor Types. Use the Home Icon to show all Trackor Types that Tabs may be chosen from.

In the example below, we have chosen the Trackor Type "Accounts" and the "Tabs" associated with the Trackor Type are listed in the left column. The "Tabs" listed in the right column will be displayed on the Applet.

Applet Designer

When loading the form, if the sum of tabs from all trackor types is less than 1000, a list of all tabs will appear. If the number of tabs is more than 1000, then  the list of tabs of the primary trackor type will appear.

When users double-click on the Tab in the left panel, it will be automatically placed on the bottom position of the form. Users may also drag and drop the Tabs onto the tab. The form will become highlighted where the field is going to be placed.

To toggle between a Summarized Tab view and the Detailed Tab view select the Switch View Mode Icon.

An example of Detailed Tab View is shown below.
