Public Map

A Public Map is a link that can be shared internally or externally with individuals who may not be users of the OneVizion® system. Public Maps can be created by selecting the Public Map checkbox when using DropGrid® or by manually adding as shown below.

To open the map click on the URL link.

 

 

 

Adding Public Map

Public Maps can be created from the System Administration→Public Map page, by clicking on the 'Add' action. The 'Add Public Map' form allows Administrators to create a Public Map with a Name and other parameters (see screenshot and table below). When the Administrator clicks OK, the Public Map will get built based on the parameters selected in the tabs (see below for details) and a notification alert will be sent to the user to indicate that the map has been built.

The 'URL' of the Public Map can now be used by internal and external users to access the Map.



 

Field

Description

URL

ThisURLwill be automatically assigned when the administrator has created the map in the Mapping application.

Name

Assign a Name for the Public Map.

Refresh Period

Use the drop-down to determine how often the Public Map should be refreshed.

Trackor® Type

Must select the same Trackor Type that was chosen in the Mapping application.

Latitude and Longitude

Use the ellipsis to choose which Trackor these fields are associated with. (In the example, the Site Trackor and S_LATITUDE are shown).

Select the Config App and fields that user would like in the information window that list all sites.

Select the Config App and fields that the user would like in the information window on each site.

Filters

Once these fields are populated choose the Apply button. The following tabs will be available for use:

Latitude and Longitude Pairs

Automatic conversion of existing Lat/Long field values to Lat/Long Pair:
1. if existing Lat/Long values assigned the same pair then we use that pair
2. If existing Lat/Long fields are assigned to different pairs then we disable display Trackors and leave the pair field empty
3. If either Lat or Long field is assigned to a pair but the second field is not assigned to any pair then we disable display Trackors and leave the pair field empty
4. Both Lat/Long fields are not assigned to any pair then we create new Lat/Long pair and use it
5. If either Lat or Long field is assigned to a pair but the second field is empty then we use pair which Lat or Long is assigned to
6. If either Lat or Long field is not assigned to any pair and the second field is empty then we disable display Trackors and leave the pair field empty

 





Editing a Public Map

Edits can be made to a Public Map by selecting the Public Map ID link. Or by highlighting the item and clicking on the Edit icon, 

Users may also open the Coordinate Pair admin form on the General tab of the Public Map admin form.

We have added the ability to access Field History by right-clicking a field on the General Tab of the Public Map form.

 

Deleting a Public Map

User may delete a Public Map by highlighting it in the Application Grid and clicking the Delete icon,.Deleting a Public Map will permanently remove it from the OneVizion database.

Exporting List of Public Maps
