The Services page allows Administrators to add service details for processes that occur “behind the scenes.”
To allow Administrators access to report and export services, we have the Report Scheduler as a service type on the Admin Services page. This service type includes parameters for the processing of reports and exports to ensure that the system runs at optimal performance. All instances of the Vizion Platform have at least one Report Scheduler, typically named Default.
Fields for the Report Scheduler Service Type
Field Name | Description |
Name | This name is available as a selection for the Process Scheduler field on the Administer Reports Form – General Info tab. Typically, you will have one service for reports/exports named Default. |
Enabled? | Checked to enable the service. |
Service Type | Report Scheduler is the service type for reports/exports. |
Max running reports/exports | The number of reports/exports that can run simultaneously. Typically, this is set to 2 or 3. |
Min free RAM to start report/export (MB) | The minimum amount of RAM needed on the App Server to be available for the next report/export to run. Typically, 1024 or 2048. |
Additional JVM arguments | Additional Java parameters when running a report. Rarely used. |
Supports export | Check this checkbox to have exports run on this service. Typically, this checkbox is clicked on only one service. |
