Share an Application Page

The Share Page Link feature enables a user to easily share links to application pages along with the selected view and filter with other Vizion Platform users. Additionally, users can copy the provided link in the Share Page form and share it directly with a user in chat or send it via email.

Steps to Use the Share Page Link

 

  1. To access the Share Page form, click on the Share Page Link icon, in the page header. Remember that whatever view and filter you have displayed on your page will be shared with the page link.

Users must be on a browser page for the Share Page Link icon to display. The feature will be automatically disabled if the page does not support “sharing.”

 

 

  1. The Share Page form displays as shown below. Complete the fields following the chart below.

Shareable Link

Contains the URL of the page currently displayed.

Option: You can Copy this link and paste into an E-mail or Instant Message as a method to send to a recipient as an alternative to using the “Send To” feature listed below.

Link Title*

Contains the unique name of the page currently displayed. You can make changes to the title which displays as the subject for your email.

Send to*

Depending on your permissions, you will have several options to select from. If you know the e-mail for the user, you can select E-Mail here and enter the user’s email. Other selections will display an ellipsis where you can search for and find the user you want to send the link to.

Comments

Additional information you want to add to the email.

 

  1. Click OK. The link will be emailed to the user in an email that will look like the image below.

 

Note that View options and Filter options on this page are temporary. If a user reloads the page, the View and Filter settings will disappear. Users may modify/save these views and filter options.

 

Quick Search value (1), Quick Search field (2), and Manual grid sorting (3) are preserved when you open the shared page link.

The Administrator will need to make sure that users have Read permissions to the SHOW_SHARE_PAGE Security Role.
