The goal of this training is to provide new Administrator users with skills to model, build, and create a business process using the Vizion Platform.

This training will work through a muti-step process showing the build out of an example application. By following along you will learn how to use and apply most major development items in the platform.

Developing an application is an iterative process as each requirement is addressed and implemented. In addition, the innovation process often requires trial and error to land on an optimal configuration.  Be patient and keep an open mind to alternative configurations and approaches to solve the problem.

Some items such as workplans, workflow, mobile applications, external user security role access restrictions, integrations, and embedded widgets are available to enhance the solutions and will be covered in additional training courses.

Outcomes

After completing this training, you will be able to:

Build an App Structure

  • Construct Trackor Types and organize them into a Trackor Tree

  • Add Fields to Trackor Types

  • Develop Tabs and Menus for app navigation

Master the Vizion Platform’s Functional Features

  • Learn and create Automations and Rules

  • Design and implement Notifications

Customize Presentation & Usability

  • Apply color to fields and skin the app for visual appeal

  • Revise Menus for optimal navigation

  • Configure latitude/longitude pairs for mapping functionalities

  • Create and manage a calendar within the app

Implement Security in the form of User Groups and restrictions

  • Set up User Groups and define access restrictions

Build Dashboard and Reports

  • Gain an understanding of report functionalities

  • Develop and customize Dashboards within the Vizion Platform

Build a Vizion Platform Application Flow

The process flow below depicts the steps outlined in the following training. Please note the below depiction includes optional steps. In addition, some steps may not require a specific order as displayed. Please consider this as an overall process example.

Assumptions

For this training to be most successful, we assume that the Administrator:

  • has access to a fully installed instance of the Vizion Platform with full Admin access

  • has completed Fundamentals training and is fluent in data architecture, terminology, and navigation of the Vizion platform

  • is familiar with software project management principles, requirements collection, and test case development

  • has used the Vizion Platform to manage critical infrastructure deployments.
